A very good list and varied, even the Kiss and Twisted Sister stuff on there at least represents everything bad about metal.

It's OK for a starter list and I'm guessing this was a UK poll as it's extremely biased towards UK music. If Guns N Roses are on there so should AC/DC be too.

My list would look a lot different but it's not as cheesy as it could have been.

"Nothing Else Matters" isn't on the list?

I'm also rather surprised that "Enter Sandman" is all the way at 68.

And "Nothing Else Matters" is probably the majority of fans' favourite, seeing as it's the Metallica song that's got most listens this week, and in 6 months, accoding to last.fm

These Songs were ranked for their impact/influence, musical quality, and lyrical quality, within the world of metal.

The four artists with the most songs are the four most influential anyway, I would say this list is a great list to get somebody into metal and then hit them with the really agressive stuff later on.

I am surprised that Death and King Diamond did not appear in this list.
