this post is just going to involve talking about real metal. I don't want to hear anything about ****ty rock bands or nu metal bands. just post some good metal cds and metal bands you like.

I dont listen to much metal. Bands I tolerate are Slayer, Death, Morbid Angel, Motorhead, Merciful Fate, In Flames, Iron Maiden, what have you.

I remember the last ever metal album I bought. It was Morbid Angel`s Blessed Are The Sick around 10 years ago.

I remember listening to it thing 'Christ this is **** , why am I wasting my life listening to this crap'

I`ve not bought another metal album since , unless you count QOTSA the odd Motorhead live album.

some bands i listen to are 3 inches of blood, bleeding through, Illnath, Avenged Sevenfold, Dead To Fall, Demon Hunter, and Symphony X

Listening to my old Maiden stuff a lot atm - remember buying Seventh son - sneaked out of school at lunchtime!

Still got it - but nowt to play records on anymore so I had to get the cd a couple of years ago :P

A lot of Judas Priest here as well as Sabbath, Deep Purple - natch ;) etc, etc!

Manowar - been a while since I heard that name, lol! Saw them a few years ago at the dynamo open air - tbh they weren't all that great....

My Dying Bride is a great band, but their doom metal so they're alot slower, a bit gothic
I got November's Doom's new CD The Pale Haunt Departure recently. I have only listened to it for one day because my friend has to review it for his website, but I think its pretty good so far. Though I am dissapointed that I didn't hear their female vocalist yet, I think she left the band

kid you're a ****ing idiot, led is classic rock and metallica is rock with long boring breakdowns and they suck and rammstien is ****ty nu metal.

Rammstein kicks ass, and you need to chill...This kid only has one f*ckin post.

Actually Kerrang magazine did a poll amongst it`s readers to find the top 100 metal albums of all time around 10/12 years ago.

Led Zeppelin`s Physical Graffiti came top.

leftinkowloon, metal has evolved into what you listen to but when Zepplin came out it was considered heavy metal.

yeah and we should say Prince is a great funk artist because he threw out a couple of crazy ass christian jazz albums. Idiot. It wasn't who's a good metal band to go see tomorrow. its good metal bands. Should black sabbath be left out because they don't make new albums?

long boring breakdowns, metallica is sooo boring. bands like invocation of nehek and the black dahlia have exciting riffs that keep you listening unlike metallica ****head.

I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan. Who isn't though? Then my other favorites would be Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, CoF, Children of Bodom...Cannibal Corpse! Yeah, I listen to a bunch of bands...
