Sorry if I got 'ranty', Not the best day I've had. At least you didn't take it the wrong way.

I like lots of metal, I like a mass of metal...I just like it to be well constructed, that doesn't mean straight beat and non-complex or non-progressive, but that band don't seem to have any structure to what they're doing, it truly is just background noise, and unlike the 'circle of dead children' kind of background noise it's unintentional. They're just bad at writing things.

I only have a passing interest in Arctopus, they're better math metal bands *cough* Meshuggah and etc.

On another note I'd like to express a severe distaste for Machine Head the equivalent to Green Day in the Metal world.

I would call Green Day very much a pop band these days... "pop punk?".... I know it seems an oxymoron, considering Punk is meant to be a rebellious statement, yet, Green Day seem to have rolled the two together, for better or for worse...

... Making joint songs with one of the most established pop bands, U2, doesn't exactly scream rebellion to me...

I'll say i don't like COF or otep very much but slayer and Kittie are awesome. Kittie is amazing in my opinion, there cover of Pink Floyd's "Run Like Hell" is pure effin metal. That aside the worst metal band would have to be any and all "christian hardcore/metal" bands, i mean what the hell...

EDIT: After a deeper thought process I have changed my choice to Poison and Motley Crue. I despise both bret michaels and vince neal, as a matter of fact all of members of both bands could die and my day would be just that much better. Christian metal bands still suck (:
