Poison does have some fun songs

Warrant sounds a bit "screechy" for me

i can't stand most Bon Jovi cept for "I'll Be There for You" and "Bed of Roses"

well if it's commercial and the melody is great (even if they didn't chart), they're fine with me, like Enuff Z'Nuff

as for 80s hair metal in general, if they got down and dirty and heavy like Skid Row's Slave to the Grind (which sounds like early Priest), they're awesome

I don't know if I agree with the Skid Row and Judas Priest comparison or not. I liked Enuff Z'Nuff, what were their popular singles? was Fly High Mechelle one?

i love the first two Enuff Z'Nuff albums

Fly High Michelle was their only hit, I believe, and that was only in the lower rungs of the Top 20

i love them because they're more power-pop than hair metal and sound Beatles-esque

I was in a cover band when Fly High Michelle was released, it was on our song list. We also did a song titled Ah Leah, I cant remember the name of the artist. and a single titled, I don't wanna lose your love tonight,-lyrics- "Jose on a vacation far away, come on in and talk it over". Artist? We did these three which were all released around the same time.

I finally got a chance to look them up, sorry guys.
Outfield! should've remembered the name of this one. Donny Iris's Ah Leah was popular, I still hear it once in awhile on the radio.

Fly High Michelle is my favorite. The Naked Eyes just happen to come to mind while I was embedding the other ones.

fly high michelle sounds more like alternative or college rock from the early 90s than hair metal

After recently watching the Anvil: Story of Anvil documentary, I have determined them the worst metal band I've ever heard, that is actually dedicated to what they do. If they were an instrumental band or got a new lead singer, they would be more successful than with Lips, their current vocalist. Terrible, just terrible, it was hard to finish the movie. They don't make it big for 30 years, they keep going, spending money to pursue their dream, it's time to just realize that you just aren't good enough and get a damn normal job.
