Default Old school metalcore and/or crossover thrash

So I figured I'd start a thread concerning metallic-hardcore hybrids. Now by this, I'm not necessarily referring to things like Black Veil Brides, As I Lay Dying, etc. I'm referring to things like Earth Crisis, S.O.D., D.R.I. and Rorschach.

Anyone got good recommendations?

It ****ing kills me to see DRI, SOD, & the like called metalcore. It's like the genre is some sort of sci-fi monster which is leaping around space & time, magically transmogrifying to suit the needs of it's fans....

Reread the title of this thread.
I mentioned crossover thrash as well.
And metalcore was used to describe many bands before the scene kids took it over. So if anything, it kills ME to see it used to describe bands like As I Lay Dying. Integrity and Rorschach are metalcore bands. AILD is not.

Care to provide evidence?

Well apparently, it was used to describe Shai Hulud and Coalesce in the mid 90's.

Ludichrist
Infest
Crumbsuckers
Prong
Void
Amebix
Broken Bones
Mucky Pup
Gang Green
Cro-Mags
Warfare
Carnivore
C.O.C
Leeway
Zoetrope

I haven't got a clue why Metalcore was mentioned in this thread though

Crossover was a genre in the late 80's for me.

Just found some of their stuff a couple of months back after years of searching and they were a comical band but still sound fun.

Terrible album cover but I hope this brings back some memories!

I've never heard that one before but it's good. The album I had was A Boy in a Man's World. This was my favorite song on it when I was 13-14, still fairly enjoyable:

Try Can't You Take A Joke from the year before. They only released 2 albums I think.
