I don't know, I really used to dig them, but now I kind of consider it a bit of a joke, I mean, these guys are fully grown men wearing corpse paint and screaming about satan. That's ok for a teenage garage band, but at what point does it become a joke? And I just think it sounds really manufactured too, a bit over-produced for that typical Black Metal sound.

As opposed to a bunch of white males born in first world suburbs proclaiming themselves to be Anarchists or such stupidity.

if your not into screams try the black metal ambient genre. bands like fen, agalloch, broken moon, burzums jail records etc.

the ontario bm preservation society is fun

ishahn solo work if you like emperor
theres a good bunch of s american and asian bm bands
