Default Reversal

Maybe its me but theres seems to be an exobinant amount of threads having metal in the title or having a band that is metal in the title.

Anyway, someone had made a post that said something to the effect of "what covers were better than the original"

How about we do a thread for cover attempts that just bombed compltly.

I don't think the Foo Fighters did Darling Nicky and justice with their cover (but if you can find their version of "carry on my wayward son" with a drunken fan singing, thats priceless)

I also was not a fan of Johnny Cash's "personal Jesus"

Its a little off topic, but you'll enjoy this: a couple of weeks ago I was searching some Tom Waits downloads and I found a cover of Big Rock Candy Mountain so I decided to check it out. From what it sounds like its just Tom Waits- absolutely WASTED - walking down the street with a pocket tape recorder singing Big Rock Candy Mountain while Laughing hysterically. Priceless !!!!!

He does do mighty impressive version of James Brown's "papas got a brand new bag"

but refocusing, theres some italian bjork-wanna be who does "I hope that I don't fall in love with you" and I hate it but probably because shes trying to be bjork. Natilie Merchant covers it to but I havn't heard it.

Hey they do a version of "Seven Nation Army"... Has anyone heard it?

Their version of Kylie Minouge (sp?) "can't get you out of my head" was not as good, but then again, that song was more addictive than crack.

I`ve got that version of Seven Nation Army (Harry Potter & George Bush severed head army mix) to give it`s full title.

It`s on the new Late Night Tales compilation put togther by Wayne Coyne.

It`s sounds the same only the lyrics have been totally re written & also added police sirens.

It`s not great , but worth a listen out of curiosity

That actually sounds hilarious. I'd like to hear that.
