Favorite Album?
Favorite Vocalist?
Bands you hate?
discuss it all here

As of now I'm still looking for some more blackened death bands, such a cool sounding genre.

The entire forum is here for these four points. If you would like some recommendations, the following thread will provide.

hmmm. . . interesting, you know what would be cool??? if there was a death/black/doom metal sub-section in the metal area, ya'll have prog/psychedelic rock and classic rock sub-sections. . . why not add another???

You're welcome to make the suggestion for such a thing (http://www.musicbanter.com/announcem...nt-thread.html), but to be frank, I'm not sure there's enough activity on the topic to demand such a forum.

Because the Metal section here is not hugely frequented (at least by regulars) so why clog the forum up with endless sub forums?

Between Metal and Electronic music you could triple the sub forums here and still not get a justifiable amount of activity in them.

I dont see how you can say that the Metal section isnt hugely frequented when 15 of the threads on the first page of the Rock/Metal combination section are about Metal (not including sticky threads and this one), and the first 10 threads below this are all Metal threads with double figure reply numbers. Compare that to 9 of the top 10 for the Classic Rock section reaching double figures and only 6 of the first 10 in the prog section, and it could be argued that the prog section should be closed for having less activity than a Metal section would have.

A dedicated Metal section would probably increase the amount of regulars you'd get as well, in terms of purely metal music listeners anyway.

I am talking about regulars and not just members who post in the Metal forum and then piss off because it's not hugely active.

The whole Rock/Metal section is not hugely active on a whole.

I do think that with better organisation and care of a dedicated metal subforum it would thrive. This must be the first music forum I have seen where the metal section hasnt been one of the busiest sections on the site.
