I read through it, I know you voted me for best new member.

However, I do not expect to win, lots more who contribute more than I do who deserve it. But the nomination is appreciated.

I imagine being nominated and getting beat by Jethro Tull or something.

That name always makes me think of that god awful movie. I know it was a comic first, but that movie is dreadful.

I always think of the Duck Tits.

but guess I shall do something on topic now, before this turns into the new random thread:

been on a Finnish Death Metal spree again recently. Some of my favorites as of late:

a band that only released 2 demos. But both demos were great, mid paced stuff.

another band with a limited output. Probably know to some as the band that came before Amorphis. Though only having one member who would go onto that group. Releasing a demo and one EP.

One of my favorite Finnish bands, this is the only with the true Finnish sound.

Talking of Finland and I know its more melodic death in style, but I'm giving Amorphis and Tales From A Thousand Lakes another listen.

Yep, listened to that album the other day. Doesn't hold up quite as well as I remember it, but is still a highly enjoyable record with more doom influences than the debut... which was more heavy on the Death Metal from what I remember.

But I still love first 3 albums by Amorphis. Elegy was actually the first one I heard, and though not a Death Metal release, still highly enjoyable in its own right.
