Eagle Fly Free is totally my favourite song at the moment. The lyrics, the vocals, the solo, the drumming... duuuuude. Also, the album intro track makes it so much better.

Didn't Unknown Soldier and I tell you? They live up to their name and album covers and then some.

And now I'm entirely sure. Helloween has gained even more of my respect; it went from loads to helloads.

You have done well, my son/daughter. So are you aware of power metal in general or is this your first PM band?

Isbjørn 11-09-2013 11:12 AM

Helloween's not the first one. I must confess to first being introduced to power metal by... DragonForce. I am aware of bands other than Helloween, but haven't heard very much. To be honest, I am quite new to metal in general, heard it first only five years ago, maybe less (it was an Iron Maiden live CD), and I didn't consider myself a metalhead until very recently.

Then you need to get into Blind Guardian immediately. They manage to make songs about Lord of the Rings that avoid any hint of cheese.

I know Blind Guardian, but it feels weird to listen to them without having read any of Tolkien's works. They're one of the reasons I promised myself to read LOTR in the near future.

Never. Read. Lord of the Rings.
