I've heard Transcendence by Crimson Glory, but I think that's pretty much it. Definitely need to check out more.

As much a thrash band as a power metal band, and they crossed over almost completely on their second album, but their first, Breaking the Silence, was essential eighties power metal.






Jag Panzer

Just straight up heavy/power metal which touches on thrash at times.






Warlord

I've been going on about these guys on here for months, but they're amazing. They manage to capture an dark, epic atmosphere that is just fantastic..

I don't know what I was expecting from a Quorthon solo album, but it was certainly not this. Maybe something really oddball and experimental. But this is not that. It's kinda metal, kinda rock, kind poppy. After some initial confusion though this is infectious as ****. And the chorus has Quorthon assuring us, "I'll never eat pussy again." Winner.

Though I am comforted that this is possibly the only hard rock album ever recorded with a buzzsaw guitar sound.
