I'll always be nostalgic about Pantera because they're why I started playing guitar.

I did a lot of things that I regret when I was 7 years old, and picking up the guitar isn't one of them.

Gaza were a mid 2000s early 2010s band, but I definitely agree on that time frame being one of the best periods. I think the genre gets held back a lot because of the more popular acts who follow the whole Killswitch and Trivium mold, but it will always be one of my favourite genres because of shit like Gaza.

I would seriously recommend checking these guys out if you haven't already, they call themselves "blackened hardcore" or something stupid like that, but regardless of what you call it it's pretty sweet.
