Speaking of CC, listening to this at the moment. Post Mortal Ejaculation is probably my favorite track off of this album:

Been hard at work with my death thrash list for the Metal Album Survivor thread, and while there are a lot of generic bands in the genre, there is also some of the best extreme metal to be found.

I would have loved to have witnessed the creation of this album, specifically the moment where the came up with each and every one of these riffs.

Pantera should have made more songs like this. The riffs are catchy, heavy, and badass, and every second of that solo with the bass playing that groovy riff is kick-ass.

Most brutal death metal is dull, but most mid-nineties brutal death metal (when the genre really got its feet) isn't quite as brutal as the boring bands that they spawned. Benighted might just be the awesome brutal-as-all-**** brutal death metal band that still has fun songs that I've been looking for.

Dear god, how can so many bands be so intense and yet so mind-numbingly boring? 90% of brutal death metal is worthless. Thank god that I stumbled upon this BDM quasi-gem that doesn't try to play twenty different riffs all at the same time, but is instead happy to dumb it down a bit with some fun, slamming riffs and breakdowns. Not a revelation or anything, and if I hadn't been listening to so much of this **** I probably wouldn't have cared as much, but Skinless has my seal of approval.

This album is wildly hypnotic. I feel like I'm in a legend of Zelda temple when I play this album.
