I was speaking more conceptually and lyrically, he often has a lot to say. Re-read it though, as I said I " don't really feel they've grown at all in the past 13 years."

Yes, great concept album. The opening two tracks and the last four (especially Desert Rain and Travel To Stygian) are also favorite, it's also a very good album!

I could never get into that album (even if there where some cool riffs), the dark "Spawn" comic story just doesn't mesh with the overly emotional metal they where going for, for me. It is a kind of story I'd prefer to see someone like Mike Patton take on (in a very intense, abstract and over the top way) instead

I was into that album too. Pretty hard. And I still enjoy me some Iced Earth.
