I've yet to hear that one; so far I've only been exposed to "Rocking Metal Mother****er" and "War! Speed and Power" and a handful of splits..... of those, the former is my favorite.

Pwwff, see, this is why I hate you damn metal fans. You just can't keep up with the amazing musicianship on display; I mean, what is that, 4/4 time signature? Yeah, that would be too advanced for you sissy Meshuggah fans.

Here's another melon scratcher from Barbatos

Kinda makes you wonder why this particular thread is almost entirely devoid of feminine presence, yes?

I'm not even sure who you're trying to denigrate now, Hip Hop.
Fuck if I care though. I've been listening to another gem revealed to me by my LoathsomeFriend. 'Outer Isolation' by Vektor

He was responding to my sarcasm.

I remember all the metal blogs pooping themselves over this when it came out but I never got the chance to listen, what're your thoughts on it so far?

I listened to the album a long time ago and thought it was good but just wasn't in the mood for it.
I've listened to it a bunch in the last few days and I think it's really good. It reminds me of real old-school thrash without sounding retro. The singer has a nice style, snarly and sometimes shrieking. He does some lame "clean" parts but they only last about 10 seconds.
The band is technical as hell and they get called "proggy" because of their long precise songs, I guess. The obvious comparison is Voivod and it's an apt comparison.
My only complaint is that the thing seems really long and the songs don't differ much. I don't mind the sameness at all but the album would be just as good if it was like half the length.
Overall, it's a very good album that makes me interested in thrash again.

I know, right? With songs like these, you'd think the bitches'd be falling over themselves to post here.

They think they know who I am
All they know is I love to kill
Face down, dead on the ground
Find me before another is found
I come alive in the darkness
Left murdered and nameless
Dead unburied and rotten
Half eaten by insects
She was so beautiful
I had to kill her
Tied her up
Taped her mouth shut
Couldn't scream
Raped violently
Rope tight, around her throat
Her body twitches
as she chokes
Strangulation caused her death
just like all the others
Raped before and after death
stripped, naked, tortured
They're all dead, they're all
Dead
They're all dead, by strangulation
I come alive in the darkness
Left murdered and nameless
Dead unburied and rotten
Half eaten by insects
It Felt so good to kill
I took their lives away
7 dead, lying rotten
Unburied victims
their naked body putrefy
Strangulation caused her death
Just like all the others
Raped before and after death
Stripped, naked, tortured
They're all dead, they're all dead
They're all dead, by strangulation
I come alive in the darkness
Left murdered and nameless
Dead unburied and rotten
Half eaten by insects
They think they know who I am
All they know is I love to kill
Face down, dead on the ground
Find me before another is found
