Persian Death Metal, a band from Iran... where Death Metal is from what I understand truely risky to play, as it is deemed "satanic" and against the law.. which makes this truely dangerous in its approach.

They are pretty kick ass too.. if no one told me they were Iranian, I probably wouldn't even know, as it is pretty standard Death Metal vocals, that could be from wherever, but I dig that it is from a place I wouldn't think of for Death Metal music.

If Opeth became a progressive black metal band in there career instead of death metal I'm convinced this would be the result.

Listening to "As blood runs black" right now. Not exactly my type of music though.
I like "Witin the Ruins" album "Phenomena" but unfortuntely the new singles doesn't sound too promising...

I am digging this album so much, recorded in 1973/1974 for most part, the last 3 tracks from 1979. But early proto Doom Metal, that has this lo fi feel that sounds like it was recorded in a cave, which adds to the feel of it and gives it this underground feel.

I think it's one of life's great tragedies that Overkill never really pursued the Sabbath experiments after The Years of Decay. Considering how much groove they used in the 90s I think some doom riffs would have made that **** amazing.

I could've sworn you talked about listening to I Hear Black before but that obviously must not be true if you say that.

So listen to it. Cool stuff that everyone hates but I dig it, lotta Sabbath in there that you'd have to be mentally retarded not to hear.

Or in this case they rip off Trouble. You know, the doom metal band
