The Greenhornes opened for the White Stripes when I saw them, they were pretty good. When I saw Eric Clapton, he had the Robert Randolph Family Band open for him, and that was ****ing awesome, practically stole the show. More energy than Clapton's had in years, if ever. I haven't seen too many openers, most bands I see don't use them.

Opening acts span the spectrum from Wow! to Wha?! - best opening act I've seen in the last five years or so was definitely Flogging Molly fronting the Bosstones - what a freaking kick-a$$ show!! we came in during FM's set and after about three songs my Bro and I looked at each other like "I don't know what the hell they're doing, but they sure are good at it!" So cool to see someone you've never heard and they shred!!!

Submersed opening for Disturbed.
Although i really dont like Submersed stuff on any of thier cd's, they put on one hell of a show. They covered "Wherever I May Roam"- Metallica , to perfection.

Believe it or not I saw Kiss open for Aerosmith a few years back and Kiss put on a hell of a show and blew Aerosmith out of the water!!!

I forgot about this. I saw them in Manchester, but I never really thought of it as KISS opening, since Saliva opened for both bands. I am a huge Aerosmith fan, but KISS definitely had the best show that night. |

James Brown opened for RHCP in Hyde Park, really should have been the other way round, i heard Pixies opened for them in Dublin as well.
Chicks On Speed played before James Brown, quite funny watching them get bottled off. |
