Well, I shall keep reading this thread and hopefully someday will have your kind of knowledge of the greatest metal ever made!

DragonForce's Inhuman Rampage is missing on Spotify. Tear ;(
Helloween is a great band, I especially enjoyed Perfect Gentleman.

There is a god. Years ago, when I'd only heard a couple of their songs, I bought that album. They wouldn't even take it when I tried to trade it into the CD store a few weeks ago. For once the CD store had better taste than me.

From your response I'm guessing I'm not the only one that thinks Dragonforce is a pile of **** then. I just don't see how it can be put into a genre as great as Power Metal...

Don't worry, there are only a few random people that like them on here. Most everyone else thinks they blow too. I get the feeling that they were just getting drunk one night and one of them got up and said, "Dude, we should start a power metal band and be all 'Widdly widdly widdly!' and try to bang chicks!" I doubt that they had any idea that anyone might actually like their music beyond the humor of a bunch of dudes playing an over-the-top stereotype of Stradivarius.

I'll try and update it soon, but you can't have heard and listened to every album on here

I can't believe that Powerwolf has not been mentioned on this thread yet. I know you have not reached 2003 yet Unknown Soldier but that someone hasn't mentioned them in passing seems such a shame.

For those of you unfamiliar with them.

Not the BIGGEST power metal fan. Most of it sounds kinda cheesy to me. But I looooove Sonata Arctica, Firewind, Lost Horizon, and Kamelot. And from time to time I'll jam some HammerFall, Galneryus, Sinergy, Dragonforce, Gamma Ray, Rhapsody of Fire, Gloryhammer, Sabaton, Iced Earth, and Fairyland.

The power metal bands that I just can't get into (for some odd reason) are Blind Guardian and Helloween. I know that they're huge in the genre and I respect that, but I just don't like their music. (I have the same issue with Megadeth, Mayhem, At the Gates, and Venom).
