Probably not quite power metal, but have you tried Spain's "Tierra Santa"?

Wow just finished reading through this whole journal today and man have I been missing out on all of this power metal I have been listening to the majority of the albums on here and I cannot thank you enough Unknown Soldier for all the work you put into this thread. Shame it has to end. Hopefully you can pick it up again after working through the pounding decibels journal, which I am also enjoying very much.

I thought that thread was long dead and buried

Anyway it has been superseded by my main journal now http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...y-history.html

which has now reached 1986 but will include a lot of these power metal albums in more detail.

Anybody heard of Skyliner? A cool prog power metal band from Florida. Jacksonville, maybe? Anyway, here's their awesome second-track (first is an intro).

Yes, they are from Jacksonville although they don't play too much here. Definitely a buzz band in the prog metal scene, they keep having issues with band members leaving and constantly having to find replacements...
