Because they're masters of their craft, that leaves them open to attack.

In Utero by Nirvana would be my pick, as the best album out of all the bands mentioned in this thread.

In Utero is incredible. But I have really taken a liking to Bleach. I didn't realize Nirvana sounded so garage-y until I heard that album.

Yea mostly people make assumptions about who that's directed to. Just like Eulogy by Tool. Might of been inspired by them but I think it was more general.

Pearl Jam were big but not so much the most influential, same with Nirvana. Out of the 4 Seattle bands AiC were the most underrated.

It's hard to say Temple of the Dog and Mother Love were thoroughly liked. Both of them released one album and TotD was a tribute band. Mad Season were in there too. These bands pretty much shared musicians with one another that in the end it didn't compare to their respective bands.

Mud Honey was great though. Bleach was my favourite out of Nirvana.

That's just comical, they're probably one of the most overrated bands in the history of rock.

Come to Seattle, i'll take you on a tour and show you that AiC are not even remotely underrated. They've done exhibits, tributes, and all sorts of things. I've lived in Seattle my whole life, so I pretty much know about and see a lot that goes on about the grunge era.

Oh no I don't think AiC are remotely underrated now. My point was they didn't get as much recognition compared to Nirvana and Pearl Jam back then, which it should have. Soundgarden are debatable, though I think AiC are much better.

But buy me a ticket if you want. :P

I find that difficult to say that too. Painful even. People actually like those bands. What the fuck is wrong with people?
