A lot of people wanted Even In His Youth to be on Nevermind. It's too overshadowed by Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Though as a teen I went through a Nirvana obsession phase (as many do), I would say that at times they are overrated (gasp!). Yeah yeah I understand their significance it that whole music movement in the 90s but I feel like at times they're put on a pedestal similar to The Beatles. I would say song writing and quality of songs goes to Pearl Jam.

I have a theory on this. Dave Grohl is the new musical equivalent to the old 6-degrees of Kevin Bacon thing. He's already got the Led Zep angle covered from Them Crooked Vultures, now he gets The Beatles with whatever the hell that was earlier this week, I figure the next collaboration will be with either Jagger or Richards for the trifecta of classic rock. At that point I think he'd connect to pretty much EVERYONE in rock music ever.

Nirvana were a part of it for a while before coming the most popular kid in school.
Soundgarden is the kid that got in by doing something cool once but nobody really cares about.
Pearl Jam is the kid that left school a couple of years earlier and still hangs around there occasionally to bore people about how much they get laid & how they were the first to do all that stuff.

Alice In Chains & Stone Temple Pilots are the 2 geeky kids hanging around wanting in that nobody really takes seriously.
The funny thing about high school is nobody gives a f*** about how popular you were in school. The other funny thing is the "geeky" kids usually end up with the most tail once they hit real life.

That's just what the geeky kids tell themselves to feel better.

Nah lol, it actually usually works out that way.

The only people telling themselves things to get to sleep at night are the "cool" kids from high-school that have no relevance once they hit real life.

Sure, in movies. Real life isn't quite so poetic though.

Haven't you got anything better to do on Christmas Day, than to post in this tired old thread.
