Nobody's denying that, but that doesn't make the Velvet Underground good for that reason. I like ONE album of theirs (White Light White Heat) and that's really it. The debut is ruined by Nico, their third Velvet Underground with its softer approach lacks any real punch, Loaded is in Rolling Stone's Greatest 500 Albums List and that shows that any album can make their list. As for Squeeze, the less said about that the better.

Satellite of love is good. I didn't necessarily slight Lou Reed, I understand his importance to the musical community. I just find it doesn't fit me as the listener. People seem to really gravitate to him and in general most really love VU, Myself not so much.
