"South of Heaven" by Slayer is the last metal song I've bought recently. The guitar riff makes me want to sell some of my possessions and go buy a guitar and a good amp more than any song I've ever heard before.

There was a 50% sale, so I grabbed Metallica's Kill 'Em All, Master of Puppets and ...And Justice for All albums, in addition to A Vulgar Display of Power by Pantera.

Not sure if it qualifies as metal, but I bought Drowning Pool's self-titled 2010 release.

Sepultura: Morbid Visions-Schizophrenia-Roots
Motorhead: March or Die-Another Perfect Day-Iron Fist
Testament: The Legacy
Kreator: Extreme Aggression-Pleasure to Kill
Death: Spiritual Healing
Venom: Black Metal (upgrade to extended edition)
Anthrax: Fistful of Metal
Blue Oyster Cult: S/T
Slayer: Diabolus In Musica (my old copy got peed on by my cat...you'll all say that that cat was smart, but I happen to feel that this album is my favorite Slayer album)

I just got my tax return, so I thought I'd get some CDs from amazon. And with their AutoRips I've listened to Kreator and feel they sound a bit black metalish, as well with Sepultura. Now, I own Arise, Beneath the Remains, and Chaos AD, but have noticed that their sound is a mixed bag of genres. Death, I couldn't believe that I could actually understand what they are singing. Death metal is usually so unintelligible. I was surprised, to say the least.

Vanden Plas - Chronicles of the Immortals - Netherworld
Sleeping Romance - Enlighten
Mayan - Antagonise

So I have progressive metal, symphonic metal and Oh Snap! I can't believe that guy used to play for After Forever.

The Aristocrats: "Culture Clash", their 2nd (and flawless) album.
"Gathered in their Masses" (Black Sabbath)... I had to have it.
