If you absolutely have to have the original Megadeth CDs I think you can still buy used ones online for pretty cheap. I know this because I decided I had to have the remasters AND originals of the first 3 on CD about 5-6 years ago Sellers are still out there.

Alright so I found the originals to RIP, and I notice slight differences that make very little difference in the overall sound, so meh, I'm fine with the remasters.

The remastered drums destroy, so there's that too.

The original RIP is better imo. Mustaine sounds exhausted on the newer one (parts of the vocals and some of the solos were re-recorded).

And why the hell did he even bother remixing it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it etc.

I still need to check out their third album, but the second one seems to have a bit more of a death metal edge. Some speed at times to go with the breakdowns. Good ****.

Name an album that was better remastered.

I vote most of Ayreon's stuff. I think prog can generally benefit.

wtf!? The CD catalog number for Bathory's debut is BMCD666-1. I'm assuming the 666 is intentional?

Black Mark assigns all of Bathory's CD identification numbers with the prefix 666, so mystery solved. It's still pretty cool though.
