I gotta get more into Revenge. They have a sound that I imagine would please my new grind/powerviolence obsession.

I think Scum.Collapse.Eradication is the best Revenge album. Obviously, it's best to witness in it's entirety, but a choice cut:

The entire Black Tusk discography.

Solid as sh*t sludgy, punk, metal. Really good stuff that mixture makes. I get reminded of Mastodon sometimes though. Not a negative at all.

I just bought Satyricon's "Live at the Opera". It's an excellent release for longtime fan like me.

I had the hardest time remembering Katharsis' name a while back, as I really wanted to download The Fourth Reich. "So Nail the Hearts"'s second half is still one of the pinnacles of black metal as far as I'm concerned.

The Fourth Reich is a very well executed album, and So Nail the Hearts in particular. When I'm making black metal mixed tapes, that track is always on there.

I haven't heard anything else by Katharsis, as I put a stop to downloading albums I don't own, so I'm very curious to hear how these other lps size up.
