I really hate to be "that guy"... but this band is absolutely awful.

Any band whose member(s) openly likes Nickelback is not worth my time.

Have you even listened to the music? Or are you just judging the music based on that alone?

Agreed, a vapid band all-around.

But on an unrelated note, Board Up the House is a frickin' kick-ass album, Alfred.

I've listened to their music before. They're part of that second wave of nu-screamo/metalcore with a girly appearance that didn't get the memo when the genre stopped being cool in 2007.

I like you. One of my favourite albums ever.

Not sure where you get the girly appearance from. Though I guess that's just another way of calling them a sissy band.

For me personally, I love the vocalist a lot. When i'm in the mood to hear a screamer who belts it out hard, they're the band I turn to.

I'm not saying they're void of all musical merit, but they're way too derivitive. I'm pretty jaded on this whole sound because I was listening to bands that preceded these guys and their peers in like 2007, and the sound was starting to grow stale then. Now it seems that every metalcore band of this ilk is just a carbon copy of their peers. The formula has been done over and over again.

I totally get that. Most of the screamo/hardcore bands post 2007 are a bit repetitive and unoriginal. I just listen to it for the music while still knowing that it isn't an original sound.

I guess I'm not one to talk really though, considering how much pop punk I listen to. :p
