^ Hey, I used to enjoy that same album, with its gate-fold sleeve ! Yes, it`s a good collection of all the best Peter Green songs.

These days, though, having over-played those classic recordings, I prefer this album:-

...which is actually 4 albums long, all recorded across a weekend stint in 1970. It features longer, looser, less familiar versions of songs like Green Manalishi (clocking in at 13 mins) and a legendary 25-minute version of Rattlesnake Shake; so much material that it should sound fresh to me for a few years yet !

Surprised no-one mentioned "Say you will". Okay, so it's a newer album, but I was completely blown away by the quality on it. Great album.

In order then, for me (I've never heard the older stuff, though I've obviously heard the song "Tusk", but not the album)

3. Mirage
4. Say you will
5. Behind the mask

The last two quite underappreciated in my opinion. Anyone want to rate Stevie's solo work? ;)

BTW if no-one has heard Christine's version of "I'd rather go blind" on "The legendary Christine Perfect album", I can't find it on YT but you really should seek it out. Not much of an album other than that, but worth getting for that track alone.

There is also a Chicken Shack version, with Christine on lead vocals. They also included I'd Rather Go Blind in their BBC session. There may be a Fleetwood Mac version too.

I only know one or two songs from Say You Will, so I can hardly rate it. Behind the Mask is very underrated, probably because it's without Lindsey and had no big hits (maybe too dark). But the guitar work by his replacements is excellent and the songwriting is right up there with all but probably Rumours. Someday I'm going to start a thread about underappreciated major releases, and that's the one I will list first.

Tango In The Night was a bit more my era than Rumours and definitely a wicked album. Great guitar playing, sons, vocals. Fantastic.

Rumours is my favorite FM album by default. My favorite album Art is on 'Heroes are hard to find'... Oh, and, uh... F*ck Christie McVie!!

Their self titled album is a close second! I even listen to 'sugar daddy', although How can CM sing next to SN?!

All three singers compliment each other perfectly, whilst Nicks brought a raunchy power, McVie brought melodic clarity. Fleetwood Mac were great because of these differences.
