Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands. Their stuff doesn't get played much down here in Louisiana but I make up for it. =D If you haven't heard "Phase" off of Breaking Benjamin's first CD, "Saturate," I highly recommend you listen to it as soon as possible. It has a great intro that REALLY builds up the tension.
As far as Creed they're a good band I won't deny them of that. Alter Bridge; however, is on a COMPLETELY different level than Creed. The songs are still uplifting in my opinion. The tracks One Day Remains and Open Your Eyes are just simply amazing. Mark Tremonti is an amazing song writer and Myles Kennedy steps up beautifully to sing the powerful lyrics. I saw Alter Bridge live in Biloxi, Mississippi, and they were simply amazing. Supporting them were the Friday Night Gigolos... kind of odd but good, Silvertide, The Exies, and Submersed. During a song Submersed played what was called the "Rock Work Out," an instrumental song which inspired moshing, my left big toe was trampled upon by a rather large boheemith (spelling?) and my left big toe proceeded to die. Two hours and 9 toes later, I went back to my hotel room quite the happy camper... or quite the happy concert goer in this situation.
A few words on The Exies since it seems I am already kind of ranting on and on, they were almost as good, if not better than, Alter Bridge live. They were so F'N LOUD. And I mean that in a good way. I also got to meet The Exies after they played and they signed a poster for me. They're really nice guys and I got to talk to them for about 20-30 minutes. I can't even describe Submersed. You just have to hear them, just make sure that you are away from drunkenfatlards who like to toestomptodeath. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day! =D Pretty lengthy for a first post. YOU GUYS TOOK MY ROCKMUSICFORUMPOSTING VIRGINITY! Haha.
