That ****ing sucks. Not even in a Deep Purple mood, but I'm gonna have to bust out some Machine Head, anyway.

Credit to the guy, he read it out on air.

He did say he'd pass it on which I guess is a polite way of telling me to fuck off, and they still didn't play anything.

Bastards.

R.I.P. Lordy - Your Hammond organ did things to my organ.

Same thing for me. I posted it on the rock station here... on their facebook page.. said RIP Jon Lord.... all he did was go on air and say... and I quote.... "oh, Jon Lord, the deep purple guitarist died today, we won't be playing any tributes, but making mention"

I had to write back, "did i really just hear you say "deep purple guitarist"... keyboards man, keyboards".... don't know if he corrected himself, most likely... but bad mistake... should be a write up for getting that wrong. I'd fire him, haha.

No doubt Made in Japan is one of the best organ albums of all time, Jon Lord absolutely kills it. I'm personally not a huge Deep Purple fan, but I don't have more respect and admiration for just about any other keyboardist in rock. A blend of technical skill and power gave Deep Purple their classic sound. RIP

RIP. He was a great keyboardist.

A segment featuring Jon from the legendary Concerto for Group and Orchestra, 1969.

Start at around 2:19 for Jon's first appearance in this clip.

RIP Deep purple is one of the great rock and roll bands. Pioneers of heavy metal, along with Sabbath and Blue Cheer/Motorhead.
