Cool Best Black Sabbath Album?

Decided against including The Devil You Know due to the Heaven & Hell moniker

I believe the correct answer to this question is "TheFirstSix"

....and no it's not up for debate.

The second half of their debut may not be totally classic, and "Evil Woman" is one of the worst songs they ever recorded, but the A-Side of that album is easily the best thing Black Sabbath ever did.

Paranoid.

Why did you put all the albums? Who'd pick stuff like Seventh Star?

Yep Paranoid, Master of Reality , Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Volume 4 are the four best from Ozzy and from Dio Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules. Headless Cross is the hidden gem in the pack. All of these albums need to be in any metal collection.

I wonder if anybody will pick Born Again

Maybe if I started a 'Which is the best Black Sabbath album with Ian Gillan on vocals' thread

I quite like it.

I don't mind it, I actually think it was just a case of wrong singer wrong band than it actually being a really bad album like some people make out. The album cover's terrible but has catchy songs like "Zero the Hero"

I have a couple of bootlegs from that tour.

Hearing Sabbath do Smoke On The Water as an encore is just so wrong.

I really like The Eternal Idol, so I was tempted to give it the sympathy vote. Voted for "Black Sabbath" though... hard not to.
