yes

No. Absolutely not. Everyone must listen exclusively to what I like. Any attempt at deviation whatsoever will result in the offender being tied between two trees and read Vogon poetry until their brain explodes.

You have been warned.

I don't think Mister Burns would be so lenient. Plus, he only listens to those old wax-roll records, you know the ones? I think... HEY! WHAT ARE YOU....? That's quite enough of that, you young lollygagger! Get back to work post haste! Now, as for my musical tastes, well you can't go wrong with those (ha ha) hilarious Black and White Minstrels, now can you? Ah yes, reminds me of that plantation I, er, never owned. Never proven, not by a court of law in THIS land. I remain at large! Now, where was I? Who are you? What the blazes kind of name is "Vanilla"? What are you, some sort of "iced cream"?

Yes, well, I can't eat the stuff myself. On my third heart, you know. Can't be too careful. I doubt Smithers would be able to, ah, acquire a fourth for me. Hmm. Wonder what ever happened to that little girl? What? Oh come ON! I'm only a hundred and two! My life is just beginning! Why should some snotnosed little... Excuse me. Ah-hoy-hoy? Yes this is he. Stole your heart, you say? Well, I have always considered myself a bit of a Don Juan, even at my age... oh. STOLE your HEART. Gah. I see. How did you get this number, little girl? Who's your mother? Where is she? Senator who? Ah. Excuse me just a moment.

what I would say to this is that everyone has different views on music and the way to express their love for music. some people feel that because they listen to a certain so called genre of music they must abuse others for a different belief. I can see why

I believe music is a personal thing and everyone should be allowed to express their love for music and bands however they want as long as it doesn't insult others. :hphones:

It sounds very much like Groucho Marx on one of his rants.

Trollheart 10-04-2012 03:52 AM

Not a fan of the Marx Brothers: never found them in the least bit funny.
No, it's all from my diseased brain, with an obvious sense of the sort of person Mr Burns is thrown into the mix.

Don't like the Marx Brothers? For shame! I like Harpo Marx myself. If you did like the Marx Brothers, which Marx Brother do you think you'd like, Trollheart? Chico, or maybe Groucho?

:bonkhead:

Oh, I needed that, Neaplitan! Thanks again.

Where's MyName? I've been wanting to make fun of his rants again. What kind of comedian do you like someone like Dave Allen or Steve Coogan?

I'm guessing he would pick the least bit funny one, Zeppo :)

I'm a big fan of John Lennon and I'd noticed ever so often in his interveiws he would do something like Groucho.

If you were to aske me, I think, out of the two of them, I'm partial to Bill Maher.

Shoot, I don't even remember that one, though the name does ring a bell.

Yeah, he always had a twisted comedic side to him, Lennon did, and that's probably why he was my favorite Monkee. I've always said that he might have been the second coming of Christ...if that makes any sense.

Oh, by the way, I know Lennon was a Beatle :)

Nerieslend 10-04-2012 11:49 PM

Yes of course, we can listen freely what we want because ultimately these are the musics which we prefer to listen always as these things make our mind and body, exactly the same for which we look around... but after all don't for get all these things must not be problematic for others..

That's a pointless question. You might as well ask me what rap artist I'd like when I don't like any of them, or what my favourite cricket team would be, when I have no interest in cricket. I've never found the MB even remotely funny, in fact that era of humour really does nothing for me. I'll occasionally laugh at L&H, maybe, and Bilko was always good, but generally, not a fan.

I do love Coogan, and also Dave Allen. Also the likes of Monty Python and Cleese is of course just funny full stop. I like quirky humour but generally not vulgar comedy or routines that rely pretty much solely on expletives and rude references. I find it hard to like any female comedian, though maybe I just haven't seen the right one yet.

I prefer the likes of Rik Mayall, Alexei Sayle, Bill Bailey (the KING!), Dylan Moran, also Dimitri can't remember his surname but it's hard to spell; caught one of his shows and loved it. Also Rowan Atkinson, Chris Barrie and people like that.

No I wouldn't: I really hate him. What's so funny about not being able (apparently) to talk???

Of course it was pointless. I didn't mean it to be a sincere question one would have to answer; I was being pointless, if you get the joke now? It was probably too "Marxist" for you! ;) Now, that's funnier than the Marx Brothers, L&H, Johnny Carson, Monty Python, Sam Kinison, Bill Maher and Mitt Romny rolled up in one!

Quote:

Hold up, wait a second, I'm lose there. Isn't "Simpson" humor about being rude...?
Quote:

I LOVE Bean. He. Completes. Me.

This thread has gone from make fun of MyName to making light of Trollheart. Sorry, dude, we didn't mean to. "Hehe." Just picture that one kid from the Simpsons...

Here's for MyName:

"Don't be sorry, just act like an adult next time... Use your pager to dial 911." I don't have a pager. And WHY would I call 911/police if I could handle them? To avoid a confrontation?"

Ever heard of a sarcastic joke? That happened to be one.

"Those guys NEEDED to learn they can't go around and beat up people"

I thought that that was your motive: you like to beat to a pulp any emo posers, right? Sounds like you're the one who needs to be taught a lesson, Police-father's boy.

Trollheart 10-06-2012 05:17 AM

Rrrrrriiighhhhttt.... oohhh kaaayyy maybe your humour is lost on me; I thought it was a genuine question. Still don't really see the point of it. But I mus tpick up on another of your points: Simpsons rude? Not at all, at least, not in the way I mean. I'm talking about dropping the "f" and "c" bomb every five seconds, jokes about genitals, racist and homophobic or misogynistic "jokes", jokes at the expense of minorities and so on. You sure you're not thinking about South Park? ;)

If though you mean rude in the sense of Mister Burns, then yes he IS rude, but that's part of his character. He's so rich (and old) that he thinks everyone else is there for his personal convenience, and doesn't even see his rants as being rude. I recall an episode where he was going to fire Homer after Bart had been run down by him, and Smithers said "Is that wise Sir? Think about the headlines!" Cue Burns thinking about headlines that say "Burns fires ungrateful employee!" then "Another smart move by Burns!" and finally, as he's carried on the shoulders of a crowd, "Hooray for Burns!" :D:D:D

Love that guy!

Anyway, feel free to rag on me, I can take the slings and arrows. But leave poor, defenceless Blinky out of it... :)
