Oh man 1979 has to be the most chill song I have ever heard. It reminds me of sleepy days, summer time, wanting to do everything in the world and nothing at all at the same time. That song nearly puts me in a trance anytime I hear it.

Janszoon, gotta agree with you on that. It might be interesting to 'predict' one hit wonders. My prediction at this moment would be La Roux with 'Bulletproof'. Have they done anything else?

Back to the 90s.....

If you are looking to get into 90s music start with Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana, can't go wrong. I personally enjoyed GNR and Metallica also. Then there was a slew of one hitters, and only 'few' hitters such as Beck and The Verve or Oasis.

Oasis was da bomb. Get the album DEFINITELY MAYBE.

I swear, every song on that album is good.

I've always cited Live Forever as my favorite song of all-time.

Dang, it wasn't posting the videos when I edited my other post but here's some good Oasis tunes.. They had so many hit songs I don't know where to begin but they're definitely an easy 90s band to get into.

I guess I should buy Mellon Collie. Buying a greatest hits album is cheating, I only do that if I'm not considering getting into the band/artist. :)

Mellon Collie has a huge amount of songs. I'd consider starting with Siamese Dream, but the best thing you can do is to listen to Bullet With Butterfly Wings and Cherub Rock then decide which direction you want to take first.

Bullet With Butterfly Wings had something unique to it that found it's way into my heart. I think I'll choose Mellon Collie, and if I want to go deeper I'll buy the other albums too.

Great, I started with that song too. You'll discover an incredible band, be sure of that.

Haha yeah. I can't believe they got away with it. I've heard of dozens of songs people getting sued over because of one tiny bit of it, but how this one never got any kind of lawsuit kinda blows my mind. For an obvious rip-off it's a good song though :o

@Briks - Mellon Collie is amazing, you won't be disappointed!
