"Keep the Faith" Intro?

Hello!
Do you know who wrote the intro to "Keep The Faith" from Bon Jovi? I really need to know the answer for a competition and it's very urgent...google was not my friend at all...so i apologize for just slamming in, as it is my first posting in this forum...

Please help me!!!

Bon Jovi was part of the writing process, however, the other I believe was Desmond Child. I believe this to be true, although am not 100%.

As it's mostly bass I would have said Alec John Such, though he's not credited with any writing. Richie says he could not be too involved in the creative process as he was working on his second solo album at the time, so that probably leaves Jon. Hard to be sure though. Strange thing to be asked...?

I think my answer is too late, but it's probably safe to rule out AJS, as allegedly the current unofficial member bassist was filling in for him even then.
