One of the most influential bands of all time in my eyes, in the same categorie as Led Zepplin or Black Sabbath, so many bands have them to thank.

Still Life
Slayer

90's
UnderOATH (David, blow me. I like them. Alot)
Nightwish
Converge
Rise Against (i can back this one up. Almost every band in the "punk" scene that got started after 95' draws DIRECTLY from them)
ZAO

00's
Symphony In Peril
Comeback Kid
Borknagar (although they might have formed in 1999)
Dead To Fall
The Crimson Divine (love this band)

You know, it's almost impossible to do this when you were practically born yesterday (1989). Since I'm not really into much older stuff (especially not 70s), I can't possibly pick just 5 artists from the 90s and the 00s. All of my music knowledge falls into those two decades! :\ Maybe in 30 years...
