Default Rustic Overtones

Hi all,

It's been a while since I started a thread, but thanks to spotify opening up in Turkey (!!!) I finally got access to a bunch of new music really fast and easily. But believe it or not, I ended up listened to oldies (90s) all day at work.

Whichhhh brings me to the point! The Rustics! (Here's the wiki)!

You've probably never heard of this band from Maine, but they were rocking the 90s in Portland and played hands-down the best shows at festivals and fairs. They also hold the honor of being my first ever live show at age 4, I danced like a crazy on a chair and remember my ears feeling blown up even then.

So, here's a sampler...some older, some newer stuff. The band went on hiatus for a while but I'm happy to note that they are back together and kicking ass!

-"Simple Song," from the 1995 album, "Long Division"

-"Iron Boots," from the 1997 album, "Rooms by the Hour"

-"Combustible," from the 2001 album "¡Viva Nueva!" (You can see the band in this one).

-"Rock Like War," here played live last winter.

Hope you like! They have a great discography so choose your era and start digging around. It's really hard to find tracks from "Long Division," but the whole album is on Spotify!

Let me know what you think!

This band has had a dedicated fan base, which I find really cool. As far as the music goes nothing really amazing or stand out but fun to listen to imo.
