Haha, you've gotta be kidding me. Have you actually listened to any Death they are not heavy enough to fit into either genre. I'll admit that, yeah they do have some Black influences but they're still largely a power band.

Have you even heard any power metal? They sound nothing like Dragonforce or Dream Evil or anything.

They clearly aren't brutal enough to be put into Death Metal and they certainly don't have the growling vocals. I can see how some people may argue that they have some black metal influences, especially in the vocals but overall they are too melodic.

Have you ever actually listened to any Death Metal? Download some Cryptopsy or something and tell me they sound like COB.

If you want to try and argue your case and prove that I'm a "Douche" you could at least put up a well informed argument for your believing that they are death metal with the criteria that show they would fit into said genre.

In my opinon, if you really want to get stupid about it then Bodom would fall under Neo-Classical influenced, Power influenced Metal with Black Metal vocals. It's people like you that make the whole genre thing rediculous because you proclaim to know about styles of music when I'm fairly sure you have no idea of the history and general sounds of the genre in question and so people have to invent even more stupidly named, rediculous genres which cover a niche of about 5 bands just so you can understand them and not keep sounding off.
