So do you, like... like Slayer now?
|
I wouldn't go so far as to say like, per se, but I no longer hate them, or I guess more accurately fear them. And at least now I can speak with some small authority on them, having listened, at this point, to all their studio albums. I kind of feel like you know when you've been having a feud with that guy over the fence, glaring at each other, throwing rubbish into his garden, complaining that his wall intrudes on your property, his apple trees and hanging over into your garden and so on, and then you come to a decision and have a truce? I'm never gonna take gardening tips from him, or invite him over for tea, but I'll stop (cough!) my dog shitting on his roses.
What do you mean, you didn't know I had a dog? ;) Video evidence? What video evidence? :shycouch: |
He's adjusting faster than expected, should have forced him to listen to Suffocation then.

You shouldn't have posted about Thorr's Hammer. I would have got one hell of a shock when I saw that the singer was a girl. But now I know so it's kind of ruined in that way.
Minus several million points you could have had for originality, my friend... :nono: |
Metal Month II: Day Eleven
And so Day Eleven is:
Opening with the return of "The International Language of Metal", as we move on to Germany with a band called Die Apokalytptischen Reiter, then sampling another of your recommended albums with the quite stunning "Arcane rain" from Draconian, and getting back to Slayer, with "Seasons in the abyss". |

Oh, and sorry, I was under the misapprehension that you were talking about your journal. But then, you said a good one, so what journal are you talking about? |
Metal Month II: Day Twelve adn Thirteen
Day Twelve:
Just the two entries today, as I'm hard at working writing new stuff for the remaining weeks of Metal Month II. Some good **** coming up! German metal is further explored with Rammstein, and in "The Metal that made Me" there's Manowar's first album, "Battle hymns". DEATH TO FALSE METAL! INTO GLORY RIDE! Day Thirteen: A big feature on Bathory in "What's that all about?" as we start to tackle the main bands behind Viking Metal, and another Slayer album, this time it's "Divine intervention". |
