Are you just looking for people to write about their personal connection? I'm down if that's the case.

Yeah. You can write anything you like. A few lines or a whole diatribe on why you like metal, what it means to you; throw in your favourite bands if you want, favourite albums, your first ever experience of metal ... anything. It's completely up to you. I'd just like to get people involved this year if I can.

Sure. Just let me know when and where I'm supposed to write and I'm in.

That's cool Jansz. I just need it before October 1, when the "show" starts, and if you want to email or PM it to me that's grand. If it's too big for either we'll figure something out. Credit will of course be given and links to your own journal inserted.

Thanks man!

Excellent Briks. Thanks! Oh, as long as it isn't "Trollheart is a knob" 200 times...

There, done. It's a bit long, so I'm sending a Mediafire link, if that's alright. If it's not alright, then too bad, I've already sent it.

Default Metal Month II is in danger of being cancelled!

Call me an idiot, but once again I've lost my file, yeah the file I was writing MM II in. Didn't back it up, didn't use Google Docs (musta been those few hours when I was possessed by ... nah, I was just lazy) and yesterday some workmen switched off my computer (well, pulled the main plug) and when I got back to the PC I can't find or open the file.

I'm currently trying to recover it, but if I can't I may have to cancel Metal Month II, or at worse really put it back. I have way too much written to be able to catch up in time for October, and I have neither the heart nor the wit or memory to rewrite what I already have done. I'm pretty depressed about it.

I'm using OpenOffice so any assistance would be great. There are no backup files in the directory, I created a new user profile and tried to rename the temp file, all to no avail. This annoys me so much when it happens, and yet I don't learn.

Anyway, hopefully I will be able to recover the file, as I don't want to disappoint hundreds of you --- well, many of you --- well, some of you --- well, one or two of you. Maybe --- so keep your fingers crossed for me and if you have any ideas I'm all ears! So they tell me anyway.

Pray for me to Dio!

Well, we could make Metal Month II more of a collaborative thing: everyone (who wants to) writes a review of a metal album of their choice, or makes a "what metal means to me" post, and sends it to you. That way it'll feel like more of a community thing, and you won't have to write everything over again. Y'know, just a suggestion.

That's a shame, Trollheart. Y'know, even as a guy who dislikes metal, I was looking forward to it. Maybe you can scale it down a bit as Briks suggested. Let me know if there's anything I can do.
