Default Best Dream Theater Album?

I want to download a Dream Theater Album, but I don't know where to start. I usually listen to a lot of Metalcore and DeathMetal, but I love to listen to guitar solos. John Petrucci is one of my favorite guitarists and I know he is in this band or I could be wrong, just correct me. Which Dream Theater album is noteworthy to be downloaded?

My personal favorite is Octavarium, but that's just me.

My two personal favorites are Images And Words and Awake. DT was my favorite band for many years until symphonic metal became my favorite genre.

I remember liking Metropolis pt2: Scenes from a memory the most upon first listen.
Images and Words and Awake after that.

Octivarium

Please don't download. By a physical copy.

Metropolis Pt. 2 is pretty much solely cheese and guitar wankery (like everything else by them that I've heard tbh), but it was still pretty enjoyable despite that IMO.

If you feel like you have to listen to a Dream Theater album, go with that. I wouldn't bother with anything else by them, though.

Nah, if you want to listen to a Dream Theater album that's actually a metal album, then Train of Thought is worth your time.

Easily my favourite album by Dream Theater with Images and Words coming in at a close second.

I stopped listening at Systematic Chaos, that's the point where I got extremely bored. Finishing the rest of the discography takes about 6 hours...no thanks.
