their a sick band, its too bad about m. shadows throat surgery though, i miss the screaming on their new album. they did adapt to it well though.

their old stuff is definitely better. city of evil has its good qualities, but the old stuff was, in my opinion, much more powerful. ive seen them live twice, they put on a great show.

i can guarantee the rest of the forum is gonna come into this thread trying to tell us how they sold out, but honestly, most of those people have no idea what the words "sold out" mean. avenged has way more talent than they are given credit for, and it pisses me off how people say they hate them only because of city of evil, and their change in style. they did an absolutely amazing job adapting after shadows blew out his voice, and that just makes them that much better.

(im going to get flamed for this....i can smell it)

^I agree with you i mean if they played their old stuff..with shadows vocal chords the way it is everyone would of been bitchin about how horrible the album was. They dude it this way they put out a solid album and adapting to his voice.

IMO they are okay, but I have to be in the mood to listen to them. It pisses me off that Zachy and Synister aren't that old but really good players. Stupid sweeps.

A7X are one hell of an awesome band, my fav album of theres is ''waking the fallen'' and my fav song being 'unholy confessions', if you havent heard that song, you have too!! i also really like the the album ''sounding the seventh trumpet''. i think ''city of evil'' is still really good but i still prefer there previous albums.
