I wouldn't say these albums were a big impact but they got me through some tough times with two different exes.

Trapt's self titled album. A majority of the songs related to the relationship I was in at the time which was toxic for me and I needed to get out of it badly. Specifically "When all is said and done" stands out in my memory as one track I played frequently

Their album Someone in Control reflects how I felt about my other ex with the tracks Skin Deep, Use Me to Use You and Disconnected(Out of Touch)

Idk why but each album that Trapt puts out there have a track or two that reflects upon my current relationship during the time of it's release.

I got into music riding the Aenima and Lateralus albums from Tool. It was amazing to finish every song thinking "who the hell writes a song like that". I still think about their songs today even if I don't particularly listen to them anymore, just don't think I've heard anything since I was 15 that stands out the way they did.

Haha, I've always had a super interesting night out and about when I put this song on before I leave the house. Pretty much know I am tossing the dice when I throw this song on while imbibing.

basically anything made by Children Of Bodom have gotten me through tough times, but the main song by them would have to be Follow the Reaper

I've never understood how people can talk about music getting them through 'tough times'.

For me it's Queen's entire Greatest Hits album. Brian May is the reason I learned to play guitar.

Hmmm...

1) Blue Suede Shoes and Ebony and Ivory were the first two songs that got me interested in music. Maybe because my dad was listening to it, so I listened to it as well.
2) American Pie (I think) got me interested to learn the guitar.
3) Strawberry Fields, One Step Closer, In Between, Leave Out All The Rest, Don't Look Back In Anger and most The Beatles songs get me through really tough times or perk me up when I need it.
