What song (s) have had the biggest impact on your life
I have to say one is ATWA by SOAD. It has helped me through bad times.
I got slagged in another thread for thinking that was a stand out song on the Toxicity album but that is why Another has to be Slipknot - wait and bleed Same reason really |
killing in the name of - RATM
its like my anthem... so good to listen to when angry |
Motorcycle Drive By - Third Eye Blind
thats my main but i could go on and on about songs that have helped me. and yes that song by SOAD rocks. all their music is great. glad to meet a fellow fan. peace, |
Change - Blind Melon
Yesterdays - Wes Montgomery Daylight - Aesop Rock Waltzing Matilda - Tom Waits Om - John Brown's Body |
"Fiends Club" Misfits
it made me go out and spend all my birthday money on misfits gear and CDs...My first punk rock song. |
In The Woods - Heart Of The Ages
In The Woods made me realise that not everything about black/pagan metal was about Satan 666 rubbish etc, this band changed my veiws towards music in a massive way! This band's ability to compose in slower, moody sections as well as the more blistering parts without endangering the song is remarkable. Secondly, the fact that the clean vocals are actually quite strong and powerful show talent beyond the masses of black metal bands who warble off key in mock gregorian chants. Finally, the album overall induces a somewhat contemplative mood, as it should, considering the depth of the music. |
"Because I got high, because I got high, because I got hiigghhh"

Moonlight Sonata is the most amazing classical song ever written....i totally agree with this choice Mine: You Are The One- Sentenced...my partner put it on replay one night around the time we first met...we fell asleep holding each other and i always remember waking up just when the solo came on...its purely the saddest love song ever written...it awoke my heart :) also Welcome Home Sanitarium-Tallica...when i heard that song for the first time i went into another world...the bass on that whole albumn is so soothing...something dark...i love everything in that song...except the end i have a stack more...every musician does i guess... |
As far as impacts go I don't know why but I cry when I listen to Lucky Man by The Verve & sob also when I listen to Point of view by PD Boulavard. It only happens when I put them on at home. I sometimes put them on especially to induce my tears.
I'm alright when I'm in public and they come on. I don't like suddenly start crying. |
Unforgiven by Metallica, its so emotional and one of the few songs James actually sings in.... joke
