9. Dystopia by Beneath the Massacre - Far inferior to Mechanics of Dysfunction, but still really good.
8. Mechanics of Dysfunction by Beneath the Massacre - Awesome brutal technical deathcore. They have got to be one of the fastest bands on this planet. The guitars sound really cool, and the drumming is absurdly fast.

7. Polarity by Decrepit Birth
6. Diminishing Between Worlds by Decrepit Birth - Progressive brutal technical death metal band. Melodic riffs, brutal riffs, acoustic riffs... Epic stuff all-around.

5. Blasphemy Made Flesh by Cryptopsy - Hard to find a death metal band more brutal than Cryptopsy, and this is my favorite release by them.

4. Master of Puppets - Few albums have a better guitar tone than the one on this album. The riff for Damage Inc. kills. My kind of technical metal.

3. Among the Living by Anthrax - My favorite thrash album.

2. Sauer Anger - Experimental, instrumental-only, grindcore-influenced, technical death metal played at slower tempos. The riffs rule.

1. Dopesmoker by Sleep - Godlike stoner doom. You say Dopethrone I say Dopesmoker.
Okay, I'm not sure if I mentioned it but I thought it would be taken as read: one album per artiste only. If you want this considered you'll have to decide between your Decrepit wotsits which one you want me to listen to.

And perhaps it time you gave some grindcore another chance.

I believe that's for the ol' Torture Chamber next year, no?

Hmmm tough,... so many good albums to choose from, but I'll go...

Limp Bizkit -Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water
BrokeNCYDE -ALL THERE ALBUMS!!!
Poison - Open Up And Say Ahh
Creed- Weathered
Sleeping With Sirens - Lets cheer to this
Vanilla Ice- Bi Polar (he went Nu Metal...no really he did!)
Greed Day - Dookie
Incubus - Fungus Amongus
Twisted Sister- Stay Hungry

Hmmm, I've got to fit one more in... these guys aren't as good as the artists above, but they do have a big following for some reason so...

Slayer- Reign in Blood

The ones bolded are jokes, really, aren't they? You can tell me.
Vanilla Ice ain't getting within a thousand miles of Metal Month III: I have to have some standards! Limp Bizkit, if you were reading this year's one,was done in The Batlord's Torture Chamber. Green Day are not metal, and anyone who writes "all their albums" is asking for a kick in the ahhh there are a few here but it's no top ten I could consider in its present form.

Oh, and Slayer I did in the last Metal Month, thoroughly.

Edit: I appreciate the joke but I'm looking for serious suggestions here...

Why is Incubus - Fungus Amongus rated so low on Rateyourmusic? I mean, it has slap bass, which from the forum thread I made people know is my music fetish. Like, what the **** is wrong with them? I'm totally not biased or anything.

You know, it makes me wonder if other people have music fetishes.

I'm happy to try Incubus for the next Metal Month. Throw a rec for an album and I'll add it no problem.

Because they're one of the most boring bands on the planet?

Seriously Incubus are the only band who can make me say 'You know what, I'd rather be listening to RHCP.'

And I f*cking hate RHCP.

Apologies, I never read the first page, I just thought it was another one of those generic "what's your favourite" posts. Sigh my new persona of being a dick just isn't working out, maybe I should scrap it...so much fun though

Because I have a busy career I'm not sure what you've already covered in metal month, but my top 10 metal/hard rock albums are rather generic as I think the 80's & before is when metal was a healthy genre.

No particular order & just one band per record

Metallica - Kill Em All
Megadeth- Peace Sells but Whose Buyin
Slayer - Reign in Blood
WASP - The Last Command
Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
GNR - Appetite for destruction
Van Halen - Van Halen
Number 10 would be a toss up, between Dio-Holy Diver, Def Leppard - Hysteria, though there is some more thrash metal I could add

Yes they're pretty bad to, but I thought I would go with the uninspired blandness of Incubus.
