Most people don't listen to Bush the same way that I do, or hear them the way that I do. That may not make a lot of sense to anyone, however I know what I mean by it.

I gravitate more heavily to bands that don't polish the sound they have too much, I like hearing the imperfections or little knacks that give a band their identity, bands that don't want to have that perfect sound. Contrary to other peoples opinions, Bush did not have an extremely polished sound, not to me. All of their albums, especially their first had in my opinion, a very imperfect sound and it gave the record a very appealing charm, I really dug the sound of the recording.

You are aware that kind of statement makes anything you say impossible to take seriously.

I can see why you'd say that, and I agree. Not really sure how to word it another way.

You already have in your first post and subsequent follow-up posts. I just don't think you're going to convince anyone else here that Bush were anything but a watered down, corporate radio friendly version of grunge that had one album with their most of their hits, a disappointing sophomore release that failed to the hype created by their first, and a 3rd album that nobody but the most ardent Bush fans cared about because people moved on.

Yeah, certainly seems to be the case, aside from Batlord. All is good. Not everyone can appreciate the same bands.

You could call me an ardent Bush fan. Followed them since there very first record, up till Man On The Run that just came out a few days ago. They're actually doing pretty good, considering.

Why did they choose to call themselves Bush? I've always vaguely wondered.

I think it is in reference to where they are from in the UK.

Verses being their favorite part of the female anatomy. :D

Had The Batlord liked them, it certainly would've been a black day.
