who's your all time hero in rock n' roll history?
Dimebag:band: Curt Cobain:band: :band: ect.........
dimebag kicked major A-S-S!!!!!!!!!
You think you could incuded all of that in one post?
you spelled Kurt cobain wrong... I cry...... Probably Trey Anastasio
but I do enjoy the double band up there, it looks kind like the grateful dead if you took out the singers andn moved the mics over to the guitarists and made one bassist a guitarist. |
Trey is grOoOovy. Love your ice cream, btw.
I would have to go with either Charles Mingus or Robert Diggs AKA The RZA |
Kurt Cobain for me.
i got a couple, but since its "your all time HERO" and not "HEROES in rock history" ill say jimmy page
Janis Joplin.
Trey is awesome, one of my favorite guitarist/singer/songwriter out there. Unfortunatly he comes in a close third behind **** Lucas and Joe Strummer. (strummer being my fav)
DIMEBAG DARREL LANCE ABBOTT :band: :band:
The best man in the whole world! Kurt was osm too:) |
Jim morrison hands down
It`s sad that all some second rate metal guitarist has to do these days to be considered a hero is to croak.

rock hero has to be sir jimmy page
*edit* before i start i like nirvana, kurt was an over rated c*nt who shot himself because like all grunge bands nirvana would have died out correct me if im wrong but the onli band that came out of the seattle scene who are still around are pearl jam? and they are noway as big as they were |
Brain may, me thinks
yeah dime was great...kurt was overrated...and zakk wylde is a virtuoso
good question. i'd probably say jimi hendrix for how he progressed and expanded what could be done with the guitar- the pivotal instrument of rock music in my opinion
Keith Richards. He should, by rights, be dead. But he isn't. And that amazes me. Unless he actually is dead, by which it becomes even more impressive.
hmmmmm heres a few jimmy page robert plant john paul jones john bonham* jon lord ring starr sid vicious* johhnny rotten paul cook steve jones joe strummer* topper headon eric clapton jack bruce ginger baker jerry lee lewis lars freidrickson jim morisson* john lennon* bob dylan and many more
*dead |
jimi hendrix kicks ASS
jimi hendrix is the best becuase he kicks everybody's ass even your stupid hero curt cobain.
Joey Ramone, and i dun no y
For extreme historical signifigance I'd have to say:
Chuck Berry Link Wray (one Fücking lung and basicaly invented the power chord) For my personal hero who may not have had as much Historical Impact other than...oh wait being THE GODFATHER OF PUNK: Iggy Pop I realise this is supposed to be just one hero but I couldn't do it. |

^that the guy from the doors?
yep the keyboardist/organ pretty much a psycho sometimes watch the dors 1968 or something its a live concert movie thing just listen to the guy
ive seen an interview with him, he was/is a pretty funny guy with his hawaiian t-shirt and john lennon sunglasses. Every other word was "man" (hey man, you know man, wow man)
Good call on Ray, death of capitalism.
I'm gonna go with Ian Mackaye, Keith Morris, and D!ck Lucas. |
D!ck Lucas - definetly top 5 for me.
I saw the Subhumans a few weekends ago, and I didn't understand half the sh*t D!ck was saying. But, we saw him at a bar later in the night, and we were pretty much speechless and too scared to approach him (that, and I think we pissed him off by yelling, "It's D*ck!!!)
