I vote Iron Maiden off.

And the best thing Black Sabbath ever did, is one of their most underrated albums by critics. Never Say Die (I think is the album title).
Is their best attempt at experimenting with progressive rock. Everything else by them is simple 3 chord rock riff progressions. Most musicians back in the 70s despised the simplisity and sound of Black Sabbath's style.
Except for drunks and already brain fried drug addicts.

If that tells you anything most poll and surveys.

I like Sabbath for what they are. The Ronnie James version as well.

But I don't prefer Tommi Iommi over Randy Rhoads, Jake E Lee, and Zakk Wylde.

I think the hippy, Rolling Stone magazine types and art rock, Lester Bang critics hated them also. But the basement dwelling rock 'n' roll dunderheads knew the truth. Honestly, even though I'm all for Maiden right now, I would have been fine with either Slayer or Sabbath winning too. I shall be satisfied whatever the result, but I'm still pulling for Maiden.
