This is tough for me. The three that stick out the most are 'Reign in Blood,' 'South of Heaven' and 'Seasons in the Abyss.' If I have to choose one I think I'd go with 'Reign in Blood.' One of the ten greatest metal albums IMHO.

I'm actually a South of Heaven guy. As amazing as Reign in Blood is, the one flaw IMO is that it gets a little samey, like they're simply writing variations of the same amazing song, which is cool but also feels less creative than Seasons in the Abyss and South of Heaven. As for Seasons, the percussions aren't quite heavy enough for me. South of Heaven is where they really focused on varied songwriting and justified it all. In fact, the album has the one Slayer song I play the most: Silent Scream.
