Quotes from Wiki? It's an academically recognized logical fallacy. The fact that you are unfamiliar with it is your problem. Here's several more sites that will explain just why appealing to majority opinion as a logical argument is wrong.

So am I getting through to you? Your entire argument is based on logical fallacies so easy to recognize and tear down that I don't even know why I have to point them out. You lost the minute you tried mentioned Maiden's popularity.

I'd have a hard time picking between the two if Manowar wasn't so horrible and Maiden wasn't so awesome.
