The Ultimate Metal Wars Song Survivor Thread
 

You know, it's weird: I expected with all the "Wars" threads that this would be already covered, but though we have "Metal Wars!!" of course, that's for albums and I intend this one to be for songs only. So here it is, the latest in a long line of "Wars" threads, but hopefully it may get a little more interest going than my previous ones.

Only rules are: one song against one song only, and whichever wins the war will go forward against the next challenger, which will be selected on the basis of the signup sheet below. Once one song is four or five votes ahead of its rival I'll declare it the winner, and we'll move on. Clear enough?

Ok, so to annoy a large majority of you we're gonna start with

I'd participate if there was decent music or if I understood what exactly you were going for.

What's unclear? I've posted two metal songs from the same genre. Choose the one you like most, then it goes up .. oh. I see the problem.

Ok, I'll edit out the "same genre" bit, as that would be pointless if the winner of this Power Metal one is to go up against the next challenger which probably won't be power metal.

So then: vote for your favourite of these two, then choose (based on the almost-empty Signup Sheet) another to go against it (genre doesn't matter now) and so on.

Is that clear enough?

I guess I was just confused about the survivor element promised in the title, but it looks like there's none of that since you just went and tried to make a bunch of threads **** and have a baby but the baby just looked like the metal wars thread more than you hoped.

Nah that's not true. The Metal Wars thread is, as I said, about albums not songs. And the survivor element comes from the fact that rather than just pit two songs against each other, then another two, the winner of the first battle goes up against the next one, so that technically it could go on to win the ... ah **** it, you know what? I'm tired of this. Nobody gives a curse, so why should I waste time on this thread either?
