I voted for Overkill (almost for Voivod) but if I could have picked any band I would have gone with Holy Moses or Necrodeath.

I went with Testament. Practice What You Preach and especially The Ritual are exceptional records. Second for me would probably be Exodus, then Overkill.

Against is way more nu-metal than Roots.

I voted for Exodus simply because of the consistency of their work. They probably are more consistent in the quality of their work compared to the big four bands.

I'd say inconsistency is actually Exodus' hallmark, but when they're firing on all cylinders they're thrash personified and codified.

I just never disliked an Exodus record. Even their worst, Force of Habit for me, was a solid record. They certainly did not have any abominations in their discography unlike a certain thrash band...
